Men, Try These Books!

Thank you to all the children, teens and young adults that are frequent users of our library.  One purpose of "I love to Read" month is to get those that don't usually use the library to try it out!  Men, I am talking to you!  With that in mind, I have a few book reviews that I though you might be interested in.

A Man After God's Own Heart
By Jim George

God knows what it really takes for you to experience the satisfaction that comes from living a life of pupose.  In this book the author shares God's perfect design in your life for your marriage, your children, your work, your church and your witness.

Sharing Your Faith with a Muslim
By Abdiyah Akbar Abdul-Haqq

The author of this book is a third world Christian whose father was a convert from Islam.  An effective evangelistic approach to Muslims should be based on a study of Christ as He is found both in Scripture and the Koran.  Christ, then becomes the bridge between the two faiths.  Such a search is a natural means of introducing the Saviour.

This is just one of many books about sharing your faith with people of other cults and religions.  Check them out!

Turn Four
By Tom Morrisey

The story follows Chance Reynolds, a highly successful driver, who finds himself cut off from the career he's long pursued. He must deal with spiritual, financial, and relational questions. Along the way, he helps other beleaguered families in the world of racing.

Morrisey, author of Turn Four, has reported on NASCAR for many years, and he brilliantly evokes the sport.

Just one more thing, IF you come into the library on Sunday, February 21, 2010 and tell me any book that has been posted on this blog, You WILL win a prize!!!
