Happy Valentine's Day!

The books we will have on display on Sunday will be all about love.  The love God has for us, the love we should have for God, the love we should have for our spouse, for family and our neighbours.

Doesn't the two greatest commands have to do with love.  Not the gushy kind of romantic love but love that has to do with sacrifice and giving up of yourself to give to another.

He said to them, "You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and  with all your mind. This is the greatest and foremost commandment."  The second is like it, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself"  Matthew 22:37-39

It isn't neat how our marriages reflect the image of God and His three persons.  Sometimes it amazes me that I am the bride of Christ.  I start to really think about what kind of plans I am making as a bride to be ready for this marvelous wedding!

LOVE AND RESPECT really goes into the two desires that are major desires of men and women.

SACRED MARRIAGE.  There are many books written on building marriages.  But what if God's primary intent for your marriage isn't to make you happy...but holy?  What if your relationship isn't as much about and your spouse as it is about you and God?  View marriage in a different light after you read this book.

THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES.  Most people feel love in marriage in one of five ways: quality time, words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service and physical touch.  Though we have a primary love language, we can learn a second launguage so that our spouse's needs are met.

LOVE IS A VERB.  This is a compilation of true stories displaying love in action.  These stories-written by everyday people-go straight to the hearts of readers, who often say that illustrations are most effective parts of a book.  There is a "love lesson" at the end of each story.

So this Valentine's day, read a book about love, and then tell and show someone that you love them!
